Just random thoughts will go here. The purpose of this account is to be able to post in other people's LJs when I feel like making a rare comment. Plus I'd like to become more acquainted with the LJ technology, even though I'm an old female dog with an adult child. (Who, by the way, has at least two LJ accounts for different purposes)

The pseudonym of Anna Nimmie Tee was created 'cause I'm a little wary of writing fanfiction under my own name for various reasons, nor do I really want to embarrass my daughter, should people tell her they know me through fanfiction, especially the more citrusy kind.

I'm a university librarian. No buns or shushing for me, though. The most fun of my profession for me is info. sleuthing, especially on the internet, and "talking" with colleagues and friends.

I'm also an amateur folk musician and play to relax, to share music, and to entertain. I'll strum and pick American Old Time (lots of fiddle tunes, ballads & hymns), Celtic, British, and any other international music that strikes my fancy. I play autoharp, bowed psaltery, recorder, penny whistle, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, and guitar, but my main instrument is fretted lap dulcimer. I give instruction in playing this instrument as well as performing with it.

For other amusement and for transportation, I ride Japanese sportbikes (motorcycles), aka vulgarly as crotch-rockets. I don't like the cruiser position with feet up in the air and weight pressing on the lower spine, no matter how "cool" they look. My old back actually feels better stretched out over the gasoline/petrol tank. (I'm a small female, and a 250cc sportbike is the size with which I feel most comfortable.) My favorite place to ride is in the twisty roads of the mountains. Centrifical force is a fun friend.
